Chieh-ling and I went to many places on Wednesday. We went to Hougang Mall to have lunch. Then took MRT to Bugis then walked to Bras Basah to buy things at Popular. There were so many stationery and things we could buy at there. We took quite a long time to actually choose the things we need. I can't find my favourite purple type of file in there so I just have to make do with a blue one.But actually that file is not quite bad...
Then we walked another short distance to the National Library Board just nearby. At first, we wanted to do homework there but we spotted something even more interesting than homework. There was an exhibition on Bioterrorism. I was quite blur about this theme at first but when I viewed the exhibition, it was very interesting. It shows the profiles of many many different types of diseases that is very dangerous and can be used as threats or acts of terrorism. Quite cool isn't it?
There were Anthrax, dengue, avian flu, aids, small pox, tuberclosis and many others. There were many games there too. Though both of us were in the library, we were making a lot noise. Hee!
One more thing, when we were resting on one of the sofas in the library, Chieh-ling was playing with her hair. Her hair automatically stand up and stayed for a very long time(above picture). I think I had read up a magazine on dry hair is caused by having many electrons in it. Perhaps these electrons helped to style her hair. Let's not be so Sciency...
I seriously encourage people or students who loves Science to come to this exhibition!
Though I came home very, extremely late that day, I feel that I've learnt a lot.

From Stella, there is a brush, ink bar(I find it quite cool) and a seashell bracelet. And she gave me a keychain on the Beijing 2008 Olympics mascot too. Yaxing gave me a bigger version too.I still can't figure out what kind of creature is that...
My aunt gave me two beetle-like chocolate which I don't know where she got it from. And...another brush form You Yuan. Two more brushes from Kejia. Three more from my dearest friend, Anthia!

Hey, I'm really bored now.I don't know what to do tomorrow either. Went to AMK Library with Stella today to do homework. I'm left with the chuang yi zuo ye but she still has tons of homework to do. Bumped into quite a lot of people today. So many that I can't count with only my ten fingers. I just feel so lucky today!
Then I came back tired and went to have an afternoon nap immediately.Such a boring day! I'm looking forward to today's Incredible Tales Season 4 and tomorrow Ghost Whisperer Season 2. Don't know why, I'm hooked up on ghost stories nowadays.

This is Charmaine's hamster-named Egg or Bacon.I'm not sure, but I just know this cute little thing is the fattest among the three. Spent a few hours before the bbq at Charmaine's house. There were Stella, Jolene, me and Charmaine. We talked about all our experiences during the holidays and it was fun!
Soon after, we arrived at Pasir ris park in the early evening. To waste our time, went to the shore and harboured a really EVIL thought which is to dump people into the sea. Andrea, stella and Shiling were the victims. Had a little rain after that, but that did not waver our thought of having the bbq.Soon, we overcame that sickening rain and carried on with the "smoke".Hee!
Then, we talked about everything under the sun especially with Shiling and Andrea.
So memorable...so 2e5
So different from 3e1
But I like it!

Went to east coast park yesterday with shi yun, rui ying , ying min, estee, fang hua & xue ting. We rode bicycles all around east coast for about two hours. It was very tiring but the sea breeze was wonderful, fantastic and simply nice. We rode all the way to bedok jetty and passed many many big big rocks by the sea and enjoyed the scenery there.. So fun! Then went bowling with them at marine bowl. Desperate for a place for dinner, shi yun suggested going to marina south and eat. The same place I went the other time with 3e1. We spent two hours eating the steamboat and bbq buffet. Came back home at around eight. I ended up so tired that I woke up at about eleven today.

Day at the clinic was so, extremely fun! Though there was admin and clerical work to do, it was so nice to know the names of the medicine that all of us should have taken before. So sciency, and I simply love it! Many of us would think that a clinic would only have patients who are down with flu or fever. They are so many other reasons why the patients came to the clinic. Some are interesting reasons but too bad i can't tell. I have to keep it a secret to be ethical.

Towards the end of the day, Dr lee introduced to me his medical instruments and the way he works. I even experimented on his stethoscope, that thing to measure blood pressure and the hammer-like thing to test our reflexes. So nice! The heartbeat can be heard so loudly, ahh, so sciency once again!

The most daring thing I did today at the clinic was to extract blood from a patient today. First, apply alcohol on the blood vessel. Next, tie a string to wrist or above the elbow to stop blood from backflowing. This is also to allow accumulation of blood and make blood vessel more obvious for better extraction.
I inserted the needle into the blood vessel and thankfully the whole process went on smoothly. And i would also like to thank the patient for letting a greenhorn like me to extract blood frm her.

So fun! Later ,Dr Lee even showed x-ray reports. He analysed to me the different types of x-rays they would normally take. It was so similar to bio lesson whereby Dr Lee tested me which part of the body that x-ray had taken. Once again, i'm so thankful that i made a choice totake biology as a subject. The x-ray showed many organs in our body clearly. there was the lungs, heart, collar bone , backbone, diaphragm, liver, stomach, even the branches in the lungs called...bronchioles if i'm not wrong, and the tiny air sacs. All that we could learn in bio lesson.

At the end of the day, i had bought cookies and a thank you card to give Dr Lee and his assistants. I am so grateful to them for giving me sooo much guidance and knowledge that i would never expect to learn at such an age. Some things that i would never dream to do in my life. I've realised that my choice in coming to thiswork experience was sooo right.
